In my third year of teaching at Green School in Bali, My Colleague and friend, Glenn Chickering was doing his graduate degree at Antioch University in Education for Sustainability. Glenn brought his advisor out from New Hampshire, USA to deliver a professional development to our entire teaching staff. Paul Bocko came to teach us Critical Skills Classroom Strategies. It really influenced the teaching and learning at Green School and began the shift of focusing on skill development over standards. There are many great pedagogical ideas and very useful strategies in Antioch's Critical Skills framework.
